Enrichment Activities

Field Trips
Field Trips are planned for children in Kindergarten through 6th grade. The field trips are to enhance units of study and vary from year to year. Science trips are made to various museums. Visits to area historical sites, such as Washington-on-the-Brazos, San Jacinto Monument, or Forbidden Gardens make history lessons come alive. Musical events to the symphony or ballet enrich the fine arts lessons.

Library
All elementary students visit the library once every week. Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth grade students are reading buddies to our Kindergarten students. Great friendships are made through this special time. Special reading incentives encourage all students to check out books weekly and to read.

Chapel
Every preschool and elementary student attends chapel once a week. The Senior Pastor, the Christian Education Director, the Youth Minister, and the Bible teacher rotate the chapel presentation each week. The chapel lessons are planned for a year to follow a consistent theme. Teachers are encouraged to reinforce the lesson through their classes during the week.
